New Molded Pulp Packaging
Taipei, Taiwan, December 6, 2023 — Antaira continues to make progress towards its ambitious sustainability goals by announcing today that it is transitioning to 100% molded-pulp packaging for its network devices and accessories sold throughout Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa markets.
The new eco-friendly packaging is made from post-consumer recycled paper and is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. Along with being an environmentally viable alternative to traditional packaging materials, molded-pulp ensures equal protective qualities for Antaira products.
Starting with recycled papers and corrugated boxes, molded pulp is formed into space-efficient, lightweight, and shock-absorbent packaging that protects products during shipping. According to a study by the Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL), using molded-pulp packaging has been shown to have a significantly lower carbon footprint than traditional polystyrene packaging, with up to 80% lower emissions.
